Kainosis is divided into six regions, the Myrkion Delta, Telones, Notos, Heiamene, Chersites, and Peripsopheo. It is bordered in the north by the Idizao Desert and Quinterno Mountains, with the Bados River river running through it. It shares the continent with Martellos and Devesime.
Myrkion Delta

The Myrkion Delta is the richest, greenest region of Kainosis. Situated at the mouth of the Bados River, it serves as the commercial hub of the country, as well as the primary gateway. It is dominated by the capital city, Mykrion, and the surrounding region offers suburbs, studio locations for the motion picture industry, and rolling hills for the societal elites to play in. A number of tributaries of the Bados originate in the delta as well.
Myrikon itself is the capital city. In addition to housing government buildings, including the parliamentary house known as the Angion, it is home to the Kainosis National Museum, the national theatre, the national opera, an extensive network of markets, the largest pier complex for exporting and important material, and serves as the primary transportation hub. In the winter, the city is a vibrant place with most of the population taking advantage of 60-70F degree weather. The summers are sweltering hot though, and those who have them will leave the city for vacation homes out along the river.

Telones

Telones is south of the Myrikon Delta. Its regional capital, Cyrilloplita, is the primary export place for grain headed to the west. Telones is well known for extensive irrigation systems that take advantage of the Bados' tributaries, and has made the area a powerhouse of farm production. A number of wealthy city dwellers also have homes in the northern part of Telones, closest to the Myrikon Delta. It offers herbalists a very rich area to experiment and practice their art, and a number of industrial laboratories have begun to set up shop in small towns in order to take advantage of this.
Notos

Notos is a tiny region squished between Telones and Heiamene, and was created at the time of Kainosis' unification. Until then, Notos used to be disputed territory between Telones and Heiamene, as the two city-states wanted to have more land than the other. To quell the fighting, the area was blocked off, and it has since been developed into farmland in the north. The southern area's soil is not as conducive to farming, and there has always been little human settlement there due to its former status as contested territory. As a result, the south of the area has developed into grassy plains. The capital of the region is also called Notos, and it sits along the Bados River.
Heiamene

Heiamene has a vibrant industrial bent to it, in addition to extensive farmland. Its regional capital, Thaisomai, hosts almost all of the metal industry in Kainosis, as well as the headquarters of most of the manufacturing companies. Likewise, many alchemists live and work in the region for both tiny companies and the big ones, offering research and development services, as well as practical man power. The combination of farm and industry has made Heiamene the second richest region, after the Myrikon Deta.
Chersites

Chersites is to the north of the Myrikon Delta, and is dominated by the Idizao Desert. A few precious communities live along the few stretches of the Bados River and tributaries that are a part of the region, but the dry, scorching heat has mostly kept civilization away. The only people who dare enter it are archaeologists who are interested in exploring the remains of the Martellon Empire that remain buried underneath the ever shifting sand.
Peripsopheo

Peripsopheo is the north east oddity of Kainosis. The Bados River and Quinterno Mountains form a natural border around the region, which has lead to a certain amount of self-sufficiency. It contributes livestock, grain, and agricultural goods like cheeses and wine to the rest of the country, as well as wool, linens, and other textiles. The valleys are perpetually green, and the residents shy away from much of the technology found in the rest of Kainosis.
Bados River

The Bados River runs the length of Kainosis, starting in the Quinterno Mountains and then running downhill before splitting off east to west. The agriculture of Kainosis depends on the annual flooding of the Bados, although the constant innovation of irrigation channels have significantly helped farmers get through what might have been disastrous harvests in the past.
Quinterno Mountains

The Quinterno Mountains run from Martellos in the north down to Kainosis in the south, with some of the mountain range running east to west as well. The mountains are primarily inhabited by wild creatures, and few, if any, brave souls decide to climb and explore the region. Many stories tell of hidden treasures from the time of the Martellon Empire there, but the wild beasts and snowy conditions have made many conclude that such exploration isn't worth the risk.
Idizao Desert

The Idizao Desert is a part of the Great Martellon Desert. Unlike the Bados River and Quinterno Mountains, the Idizao is not a natural feature. It is a remnant of the spirit destruction of the Martellon Empire. A number of enslaved spirits, as a part of a greater rebellion, turned what was an expansive urban area peppered with forests and grassy plains, into a great desert. This killed millions in the process, effectively ruining the empire. Their magic ensured that the place would never revert to it's old character. Few people go into the Idizao, although archaeological teams have taken a renewed interest in the area. Dig sites are becoming more and more common, although this comes with some level of risk from the weather and long dormant magic.
Martellos

Martellos sits where the great Martellon Empire once did 1,000 years ago, prior to the spirit destruction. It is dominated by the Great Martellon Desert, with the primary population living in the city of Martello itself or along the seaside. Some tribes do live in the desert, but those are few and very far between. Having few natural resources, Martello primarily survives by its fishing industry, as well as a heavily antiquities market for those interested in the empire that once was.
Devesime

Devesime sits across from Kainosis, seperated by a sea that takes about five days to cross. It is quickly developing it's own industries to match its neighbor, although Devesime's primary specialty comes from acting as the middle man between the luxury good producing west across the ocean, and the grain and industrial production of Kainosis. This wealth, however, does not mean that the two countries have a good relationship. Devesime's culture believes that the use of excessive magic leads to decadence and thus national collapse, a point that Kainosis' own near destruction hammered home thirty years ago. As a result Devesime uses magic exclusively in industry, and regulates it heavily. Magi are required to go to schools, carry licenses, and are barred from higher levels of society such as government work. The capital is Pesend, in the Zorun reason. Kucuk is the northern mountain area of the country and is a continuation of the Great Martellon Desert. Zorun represents a farming area, whereas Fihi and Orta are mostly desert whose communities cling to the coastline. The Diwan River flows from the Eilak Mountains Ayan is the primary trading port.
